Our Impact

As a mission-driven nonprofit, Linc changes lives by providing a foundation for prosperity and wellness. We begin by building homes that provide supportive environments, and we “end” by ensuring residents thrive. We lead with Empathy, identify residents’ Needs, and then Deliver services and support so residents are empowered to create the life they want and deserve.

Delivering on Housing

Linc will open four new properties this year and has over 1,500 apartments in development. Some of these are on new construction pathways including five adaptive reuse sites through California’s Project Homekey, as well as modular construction sites. These development types cut years off housing delivery. Our first all-electric building opens in 2023 and supports state climate goals. Many of our new construction sites for families include ground floor community amenities like childcare and health clinics that address neighborhood needs. HiFi Collective in the Historic Filipinotown neighborhood of Los Angeles includes the community-serving headquarters of nonprofit Search to Involve Pilipino Americans (SIPA), and Fairview Heights in Inglewood on the new Metro K line features ground floor space for a workforce innovation center and local service agencies.

Our ability to go from beginning to end is because of Linc’s commitment to making impact. We’re not just building housing with services; we’re changing the trajectory of people’s lives.

Partnering with Residents to Create a Sense of Home

Linc has an unwavering commitment to the success of everyone that lives in our communities. We view it as a core value to meet EACH individual where they are because each person enters our community with different needs and goals. We partner with our residents to co-construct their sense of home. At Linc, we know that just providing a roof over someone’s head is not enough to guarantee success. It requires listening and getting to know them – beginning before they move-in – consulting with them about what services and amenities they need, and measuring our effort’s impact on their growth.

Feeling the Impact

We know that providing quality housing and adding resident programs and case management is doing what’s right — but knowing we’ve got it right comes from our residents’ feedback and success. To gauge how residents are experiencing Linc communities, we ask them one year after they move in what has changed and what they need.

86% of residents report positive change after one year in residence.

Top four areas of change include:

  • More money for basics: food, clothing, and school supplies
  • Greater access to benefits such as Cal Fresh
  • Feeling healthier: physical and/or mental health
  • Greater peace of mind and less stress
